GARRETT
HEDLUND

Actor and Musician Garrett John Hedlund was born September 3, 1984 in Roseau, MN, the youngest of Kristi and Robert Hedlund’s three children. He spent his childhood on a cattle farm near Wannaska, MN but moved with his mother to Scottsdale, AZ when he was 14 years old. Hedlund had already been bitten by the acting bug and was signed by a talent agency before he was even out of high school.

Graduating in 2003, he immediately moved to Los Angeles, intent on starting an acting career. It didn’t take long -- he made his film debut in the Brad Pitt vehicle Troy less than a year later in 2004, and also appeared in Friday Night Lights that same year. A role in Four Brothers followed in 2005 and Hedlund's career was off and running -- next came Eragon in 2006 and Georgia Rule in 2007, where he played opposite Jane Fonda and Lindsay Lohan.

By 2010’s Tron: Legacy, he had stepped up to leading roles. He also sidestepped into a music career with his role in 2011’s Country Strong. Appearing as a country-folk singer opposite Gwyneth Paltrow, Hedlund honed his guitar and singing skills in order to perform his own pieces in the film and on the resulting film soundtrack album.

Garrett has since released his debut single as a solo artist "The Road", and has plans to release more soon.
